Challah Recipe

3/4 cup warm water
2 eggs
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
3 1/4 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
If bread machine:
Put all ingredients in bread maker excepts for flour and yeast
Pile flour on top of all ingredients
Make a well in the flour
Put the yeast in the well
Put the machine on the "Dough" cycle
At end of cycle place dough on flour surface
Punch flat
Cut in 3 and braid
Place in 175 degree oven.  Don't cover.  Let raise until double
Pull out and heat oven to 350 degrees
Coat with 1 egg yolk and a tablespoon of water mixed. 
Once at temperature bake until golden - about 20 minutes
Place on rack to cool
Don't pack until cool
If no bread machine then kneed a lot and let rise until double
Punch down
175 oven to rise until double
egg mixture coat  
Bake 350 for about 20 minutes or golden.
